State of Michigan

Merces conducts four major projects for employers in the state of Michigan, in conjunction with our survey partner, the Michigan Manufacturers Association.  The annual Compensation in Michigan Survey program, with a separate volume dedicated to manufacturing firms, provides information on more than 200 different jobs, and typically has 200 to 300 participants overall. The survey report includes data collected from custom surveys for other organizations, and participants who contribute directly to the program.

Following a three-year cycle, Merces conducts studies on human resources policies, practices, and benefits.   Health & Welfare Benefits in Michigan explores health and dental insurance programs, as well as life insurance and disability coverage.   Human Resource Policies and Practices in Michigan focuses on more than 250 policy issues related to the management of people, The third survey, Time Off, Retirement and Fringe Benefits in Michigan, explores a broad range of benefits formerly covered in the Employee Benefits in Michigan survey.  A series of studies under the Benefits and HR Practices in Michigan program provides crucial information to organizations on both economic and non-economic benefits programs and the methods by which employers handle the wide variety of human resources issues that arise continually

Federally Qualified Health Centers

In 2011, Merces developed a survey program to provide community and migrant health centers with data they had never had before.  At the executive level, for management and staff positions and for providers, Merces surveys have a consistent format nationwide and provide compilations and analyses of data which has become a standard of excellence.  The  FQHC CEO Compensation Survey has been conducted annually since 2011, and the  FQHC Provider Productivity & Compensation Study provides health centers unique benchmarks for this very important part of organizational planning.  Check back here for detailed information as additional survey programs are launched during 2017.
