Merces is pleased to announce that Lesa Peterson has joined Merces Consulting Group Inc. as a Consultant in the firm’s Gainesville, Florida office. Lesa comes to Merces from Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida (formerly Collier Health Services), where she served for a number of years as Director of Operations. An accomplished and respected FQHC operations executive, Lesa has managed a broad range of programs, including oversight of operations, management of residency programs and management of special programs such as the Ronald McDonald CareMobile, a mobile medical and dental care unit. Having worked for several years with Merces’ compensation administration program in a management role, including participating in a significant implementation effort, Lesa brings unique insight into the ongoing administration of the firm’s systems. Lesa will work in several of the firm’s practices, including staff and executive compensation, employee communications and organization design. She will also be involved in marketing the firm’s services in the Southeastern United States and nationwide.
Lesa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary’s University. She is a therapist by training, with a background in social service ranging from case management of students with disabilities, to vulnerable adults at risk of abuse/neglect/exploitation and hospice care. An Army veteran, Lesa received Army Achievement Medals including one for meritorious achievement in support of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. She has also been honored by Gulfshore Business as a “40 Under Forty” business leader, and by the State of Minnesota for contributions on behalf of children.
